About
Roots Bar
Brazilian soul. Toronto nights. A neighbourhood bar and kitchen on Vaughan Rd where the food is Brazilian, the drinks are cold and the game is always on.
The place
A Brazilian bar in the middle of Toronto
Roots Bar sits on 630 Vaughan Rd in Toronto. The kitchen turns out the salgados you would find in a bar back home — coxinha, kibbeh, pastel, torresmo — alongside wings, fries and plates built for sharing across a table.
The bar pours espresso through the afternoon and caipirinhas, draft and sangria into the night. Screens run the matches, the room fills up, and it stays the kind of place where you can arrive alone and leave with a table full of people.
